Kelebihan dari UU No.40 tahun 1999;
Kelemahan dari UU No.40 tahun 1999;
(Bab IV UU no.40 tahun 1999)
2. Keanggotaan Dewan Pers ditetapkan oleh Presiden. Sehingga independensi Dewan Pers menjadi dipertanyakan. (UU no.40 tahun 1999 Bab V Pasal 15)
Telephone TechnologyTelephone had 6 parts and they are all simple:1. A switch, to connect and disconnect the phone from the network. It’s generally called the hook switch. It connects when you lift the handset.2. A speaker, generally a little 50 cent, 8 ohm speaker of some sort.3. A microphone, it has carbon granules compressed between two thin metal plates. Sound waves from your voice compress and decompress the granules, changing the resistance of the granules and modulating the current flowing through the microphone.4. Duplex coil or something functionally equivalent to block the sound of your own voice from reaching your ear.5. Bell, so it can ring.6. A touch-tone keypad and frequency generator. All the telephone switches still recognize “pulse dialing.” If you pick the phone up, and rapidly tap the switch hook for four times, the phone company’s switch will understand that u have dialed a ‘4’.How telephone works. The telephone network starts in your house. A pair of copper wires runs from a box at the road to a box (often called an entrance bridge) at your house. From there, the pair of wires is connected to each phone jack in your house (usually using red and green wires for the first pair, and yellow and black for the second pair—if u had two lines phone). Along the road runs a thick cable packed with 100 or more copper pairs. Depending on where you are located, this thick cable will run directly to the phone company’s switch in your area or it will run to a box about the size of a refrigerator that acts as a digital concentrator. How to make long distance communication.Telephone setàthrough copper wireàtelephone boxàcell phone towers (long distance exchanges)àTranscontinental connections/trans ocean toweràinternational direct linesàcommunication satellite.Radio TechnologyRadio is based on the studies of James Clerk Maxwell, who developed the mathematical theory of electromagnetic waves, and Heinrich Hertz, who devised an apparatus for generating and detecting them.1895, Guglielmo Marconi recognizing the possibility of using these waves for a wireless communication system, gave a demonstration of the wireless telegraph, using Hertz’s spark coil as a transmitter and Edouard Branly’s coherer ( a radio detector in which the conductance between two conductors is improved by the passage of a high frequency current) as the first radio receiver. 1901, Marconi succeeded in sending the letter S across the Atlantic Ocean using Morse code.1904, Sir John A. Fleming developed the first vacuum electron tube, which was able to detect radiowaves electronically.1906, Lee de Forest invented the audion, a type of triode, or three-element tube, which not only detected radio waves but also amplified them. With the work of Reginald Fessiden and Ernst F. W. Alexanderson, on Christmas Eve, Reginald Fessiden (using his heterodyne principle) transmitted the first radio audio broadcast in history from Brant Rock, Massachusetts. Ships at sea heard a broadcast included him playing O Holy Nighton on the violin and reading a passage from the bible. 1913, Edwin H. Armstrong patented the circuit for the regenerative receiver that long-range radio become practicable.1920, station KDKA at Pittsburgh, Pa., established as the first commercial broadcasting station in the US. The radio polarity began to increase. The frequency allocation for AM occurred.1922, The world’s first regular wireless broadcasts for entertainment commenced from the Marconi Research Centre at Writtle near Chelmsford, England.1939, Edwin Armstrong built the first FM station.1970, Citizens Band (CB) radios, two-way radios operating at frequencies near 27 MHz, most typically used in vehicles for communication while travelling, became popular. The prime purpose of radio is to convey information from one place to another through the intervening media without wires. Besides being used for transmitting sound and television signals, radio is used for the transmission of data in coded form. The development of the transistor and other microelectronic devices led to the development of portable transmitters and receivers. A radio wave acts as a carrier of information-bearing signals; the information may be encoded directly on the wave by periodically interrupting its transmission or impressed on it by a process called modulation. The actual information in a modulated signal is contained in its sidebands, or frequencies added to the carrier wave itself. The two most common types of modulation used in radio are amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). FM minimizes noise and provides greater fidelity than AM, which is the older method of broadcasting. There are certain differences between AM and FM receivers. In an AM transmission the carrier wave is constant in frequency and varies in amplitude (strength) according to the sound present at the microphone; in FM the carrier is constant in amplitude and varies in frequency. Radio FrequenciesA radio wave is an electromagnetic wave propagated by an antenna. Radio waves have different frequencies. All FM radio stations transmit in a band of frequencies between 88 megahertz and 108 megahertz. This band of the radio spectrum is used for no other purpose but FM radio broadcasts. In the same way, AM radio is confined to a band from 535 kilohertz to 1.700 kilohertz. Why the AM and FM has different frequencies?AM radio has been around a lot longer than FM radio. The first radio broadcasts occurred in 1906 or so and frequency allocation for AM radio occurred during 1920s (The predecessor to the FCC was established by Congress in 1927) in the 1920s, radio and electronic capabilities were fairly limited, hence the relatively low frequencies for AM radio.FM radio was invented by Edwin Armstrong in order to make high fidelity (and static-free) music broadcasting possible. He built the first station in 1939, but FM didn’t become really popular until the 1960s. Radio Transmission ModulationIf you have the sine wave and a transmitter that is transmitting the sine wave into space with an antenna, you have a radio station. But sine wave doesn’t contain any information. You need to modulate the wave in some way to encode information on it. There are three common ways to modulate a sine wave:
Satellite RadioSatellite radio, also called digital radio, offers uninterrupted, near CD-quality music beamed to your radio from space. Here are the key components of the three satellite radio systems:
Satellite berisi ribuan transpondent.

Development of TV Technology1873, photoconductive properties of the element selenium were discovered. (Photoconductive itu alat yang menyatukan gambar.) the fact that selenium’s electrical conduction varied with the amount of illumination it received. (illumination: tingkat keterangan cahaya yang diterima.)1884, Paul Nipkow (German) proposed and patented the world’s first electromechanical TV system. He devised the notion of dissecting the image and transmitting it sequentially. To do this he designed the first TV scanning device. He was the first person to discover TV’s scanning principle, in which the light intensities of small portions image are successively analyzed and transmitted. He also made Nipkow disk. Nipkow disk is a device for picture analyzation that consisted of a rapidly rotating scanning disk placed between a scene and a light (Nipkow disk itu bagian yang berputar dalam kamera ketika lagi syuting.) The Nipkow disk was a rotating disk with holes arranged in a spiral around its edge. Light passing through the holes as the disk rotated produced a rectangular scanning pattern or raster which could be used to either generate an electrical signal from the scene for transmitting or to produce an image from the signal at the receiver.1897, Ferdinand Braun invented the first cathode ray tube scanning device.1894, Jenkins promoting mechanical tv, when he published an article in the “electrical engineer”,describing a method of electrically transmiting pictures.1907, amplification tube found, and makes Nipkow disk practical.Boris Rosing, used a CRT in the receiver of a television system that, at the camera end, made use of mirror-drum scanning.1910, a TV system using a mechanical scanner in the transmitter and the electronic Braun tube in the receiver1917, Zworykin studied X-rays under Paul Langevin in Paris1919, Zworykin demonstrated a TV receiver containing his kinescope.1920, Jenkins introduced prismatic rings. It is a device that replace the shutter on a film projector and an important invention that Charles Jenkins would later use in radiovision. (Dengan menggunakan prismatic rings, gambar di TV tidak terpotong-potong.)1923, Charles Jenkins invented a mechanical TV system called radiovision and claimed to have transmitted the earliest moving silhouette images on June 14.Zworykin, invented the iconoscope, a tube for TV transmission used in the first cameras.1925, Charles Jenkins publicly performed his first transmission, from Anacosta, Virginia to Washington1925, John Logie Baird and Jenkins generated the first live pictures by pairing primitive mechanical scanning discs at transmitter and receiver ends.1926, New York Times radio editor, Orrin Dunlap, called the new medium “an investor’s will-o’-the-wisp”Philo Farnsworth cofounded Crocker Research Laboratories.1927, Philo Farnsworth was the first investor to transmit a TV image comprised with 60 horizontal lines.1928, radio visors were mechanical scanning drum radio vision devices manufactured by the Jenkins Televisions Corporation. The short-wave radio station began transmitting across the eastern U.S1929, Vladimir Zworykin invested the cathode ray tube called kinescope.Crocker Research Laboratories by Philo Farnsworth change its name to Farnsworth TV, Inc.1934, electromechanical TV were outmoded by electronic TV systems.Cable TV1948, People living in remote valleys in Pennsylvania solved their reception problems by putting antennas on hills and running very long cables to their house. Because the signal from the antenna became weaker as it travelled through the length of cable, cable providers had to insert amplifiers at regular intervals to boost the strength of the signal and make it acceptable for viewing. However, limitations in these amplifiers were significant issues for cable system designers in the next three decades. Because with each amplifiers, you would get noise and distortion. In early 1950s, cable system began experimenting with ways to use microwave transmitting and receiving towers to capture the signal from distant stations. In the late 1970s, cable TV would find solution to the amplifier problem, by then, they had also developed technology that allowed them to add more programming to cable service. These days, the same technology once used by remote hamlets and select cities allows viewers all over the country to access a wide variety of channels.Early 1990, cable TV had reached nearly half the homes in the US. Today, some cable system even let you make telephone calls and receive new programming technologies. Because the cable TV used cable instead of antennas, it didn’t have to worry about existing services.Digital TVIn analog TV, a 6 Mhz analog signal carries intensity and color information for each scan line of the picture. A modern analog TV signal has 525 scan lines for the image, and each image is refreshed every 30th of a second. In digital TV, it has the transmission of pure digital TV signals, along with the reception and display of those signals on a digital TV.HDTV is high resolution digital TV combined with Dolby Digital surround sound (AC 3). SatelliteSatellite is something that goes around and around a larger something, like the earth or another planet. There are two kinds of satellites:
Satellite can send message, but also can observe the weather or searching one object, and identify them. Satellite also can search the location of the group of fish, oil, predict the harvest time, etc. Orbit is a certain path around earth or other planets which its gravity holds the satellite.
Earth and moon and all planets are held in place in the solar system by two opposing forces, one is called gravity, and it’s a force that pulls objects towards a planet or larger object. The other force is called centrifugal force.A satellite is launched on a a launch vehicle, which is like a taxicab for satellites. It is packed carefully into vehicle and carried into space, powered by a rocket engine. The best places to launch satellites are near the ocean, so that when the launch vehicle falls away, it lands in the water, and not on people. What’s inside the satellite? It is:
The difference between Analog and DigitalThe first sense of digital and analog is related to measurements. A digital measurement is done in discrete increments. So if you can measure something with natural numbers (0, 1, 2…) it’s digital.Analog measurement works very differently. You can always find a third measurement. It is continuous, while digital measurements are more commonly known as “counting”.Computer operate in the digital world. How digital is our computer? In the simplest way possible, it is binary, means something that has two components or two states. In other words, a computer is full of things that can have only two states. These things are called bits, and these two states are conventionally called 1 and 0. Each bit has exactly two distinguishable states. The InternetThe development of internet:The Internet actually starting as the combination between Data processor (computer) and telecommunication whether it’s audio or video visual. Therefore we can describe its development as follows:
The greatest thing about the internet is that nobody really owns it. It’s a global collection. And its name came from the idea of interconnected networks.Even nobody owns, it is monitored and maintained the internet society by the NGO (est. 1992), oversees the formation of the policies and protocols that define how we use and interact with the internet.Hierarchy with the internet:1.Youà 2. Modem à 3. Internet Service Provider (ISP) à 4. Or Local Area Network (LAN) à 5.the ISP then connect to a larger network à 6. It means network, networks.MiscellaneousLight might define as electromagnetic waves that travel through a vacuum in straight lines a velocity close to 300.000 km/second and occupy only very small parts of the spectrum of electromagnetic waves. What’s the function of the antenna? The antenna converts the electrical signals from the transmitter to electromagnetic waves for radiation into space. Megahertz means millions of cycles per second. Convergency digital = penyatuan device-device digital.
“Selamat berpesta!”
Free? Itu beauty of the blog.
Enjoy your blog!
that’s just one from thousand reasons why I would be very happy to come to “Pesta Blogger 2007″ di Blitz Megaplex..
u can see other’s life just like an open book, err, I mean, blog.
I do have two blogs..
one for you, you, and you..
and another one for me and for the lucky ones who have the opportunity to seek another side of me, but well, I started to confused, how to write on both blogs..I don’t want to put the same post on both blogs, but I do want each blog has the complete stories of my mind.
Saya jadi mulai GoBlogs,, yasulah,,”ga ada salahnya kan cuma punya satu dulu?”I thought. But, hey, Life is all about choices. Having two blogs reminds me that I always have choices to do this or that, or none of them. And it fun!
besides, I always be in this kind of situation, “diantara dua pilihan”,kekekekek!
Huaaaa…. I hate myself deeply (several days ago)!!
I do care about nature and I don’t littering nor smoke.
Thx God cuman makan secuiiiiiiil..tapi tetep aja, jadi ngerasa bersalah..
huks..huks…
dear all the sharks in the sea and beyond, my deepest apologiest for inceidentally ate one of your honorable fellow..
that’s unpurposelly happened.
really sorry…
huaa…since working and have a night study three weeks ago, I felt really exhausted!!
I hope I would cope with this situation as soon as possible, remembering that I have to wake at 6am and sleep at 11.30pm for at least the next two months.
and now, I’m staring my computer’s monitor with sleepy eyes, and have a thought, should I play hockey this evening after work to refresh my body? or just go home early and sleeeeep early..hum..sounds temptating..
let’s see how this day would roll on..
Dear God, I luv your surprises..thanks for everything, and please give me strength to go through my whole life with good purpose.
I just had my very first media gathering at Bebek Bali restaurant on Taman Ria Senayan. It was great, everyone had fun, and enjoy the event. Everything run so well, and I, myself, quite enjoy the event, chatting with lots of brand new faces, the journalists.
Afterall, I had a task to write a small report about it. I got a cold feet already, but I have to convince myself that this is part of my internship program here in IMX. I have to learn something and if then I wrote the report poorly, I could learn how to write properly. And if I could write the report fine, I could learn to improve my writing skill. Yes, life demands a good result, but my life also need a chance to learn, and thisi is my opportunity! So, why not? I would learn to be a better writer for now, and one day, I would never have any doubt about writing anything anymore.
this is my first blog writing, and i dunno how this thing gonna change my life,, but I do believe that it would lead my life to the new world.. and I do believe that becoming a blogger is a way to get me closer into my biggest dream, becoming an author, a great one.
This is a cozy corner blog where I would write anything comfort me, and talk light opinion about whole of the world’s event and my thought about life,,
should you enjoy, and share your comment to me, I would appreciate any input, friends and love from every single person that have come and peek my writing.
have a beautiful nice day!
